Thank you all for the strength and power to state boldly that
this type of work is our Gospel made visible.
- Jim Lovell, Executive Director, TACO.

HOW TO HELP BY VOLUNTEERING

TACO is indebted to volunteers from thirty-five local churches and many other organizations, who help prepare the Monday and Friday meals, raise funds at their own churches and within their own communities, drive, shop, pick up food, gather supplies, and help in many other creative ways. For more information about volunteering, click here. To see recent examples of what can be done, click here.

TACO is also indebted to medical professionals who volunteer in the clinics. For more information, contact Jim Lovell.

HOW TO HELP BY DONATING

TACO is always grateful for in-kind and financial gifts, which help meet the continuing costs of providing meals and services to those in need. As an IRS designated 501(c) 3 non-profit charitable organization, monetary contributions to TACO are tax-deductible to the extent permissible.

To have a portion of certain purchases automatically donated to TACO, sign up with escrip.com or igive.com and designate Third Avenue Charitable Organization as the recipient of your donations.

If you are a member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, they can increase your donation to TACO by 50%! Click here for the form to be submitted with your donation to make it eligible for matching funds.

HOW TO HELP THROUGH ADVOCACY

Personal advocacy is a powerful tool for advancing the cause of the city's homeless. This section will contain issues important to TACO. Click here to read about Larry Milligan's fast against "sleeping tickets."
