Partners
TACO started in 1970’s as “Bread Day” by a few First Lutheran Church members. TACO became a separate not-for-profit organization in 1998. First Lutheran remains as the most significant partner to TACO. Beyond supporting TACO financially, First Lutheran allows use of its kitchen and patio to prepare food and feed guests, they also provide the use of offices for medical services, and to conduct social and legal services.
We partner with the following groups and organizations:

Cal Western School of Law.

We partner with First Lutheran Church in our service to the community and in our call to social justice.

We partner with all the groups who come to volunteer to serve meals.
Our Church Partners
It is through the incredible caring and giving by many churches that we are able to continue the ministry that provides meals for more than 400 people every week, that hosts medical clinics for uninsured families, acupuncture clinics for the elderly and ill, dental clinics for those who cannot afford care, and legal services to those who need assistance with immigration, family law, consumer help, and public benefits, and that cares for those who are dying on the streets through Going Home End-of-Life services.
