How To Help
Volunteer
In 2017, our volunteers (including 384 new volunteers) gave over 6,500 hours participating in the ongoing programs of TACO.
T.A.C.O. volunteers help prepare and serve meals twice a week. An average of 105 volunteer hours go in to the preparation of each meal. Occasionally, teen youth participants offer musical presentations during the meals. These special events are always especially appreciated by the guests.
Others help during the year on special projects such as the preparation of holiday food baskets during the Christmas season and personal hygiene kits for the homeless. Some visit sponsoring contributors of food items each week to gather bread, pastries, baked goods, and fresh produce.
